VGA (Video Graphic Array) splitter is a hardware device that is used to display the computer’s video signal that has VGA output to as many as 16 VGA monitors; there is also a provision of making a series of multiple VGA splitters so as to display the image on 90 or more display devices/monitors. The big advantage of these splitters is that the images are crystal clear since there is no loss of signal, also because the splitter has the ability to amplify the signal. When the splitter is used with inexpensive Cat5 / Cat5e / Cat6 cables, the video signals could be extended up to 984ft; and the protocols that it follows are DDC, DDC2, and DDC2B.
VGA distribution amplifier is a hardware device that allows the video signals to boost and also it acts as a splitter, allowing the display of computer’s video signal with VGA output on multiple monitors. It is basically used to distribute high resolution video signals to multiple displays; because of the boosting power of this device, it enhances the video signal to a great extend allowing crystal clear pictures to be delivered. There are basically three form factors that are Portable, Rack Mount and Wall Mount which have been brought in so as to make distribution amplifier suitable for each and every application that requires high performance distribution of video signal. Speaking of how it works, well it’s pretty simple, the distribution amplifier takes the signal from one port of a computer and amplifies it and then splits the signal in order to feed multiple high resolution displays. Specially designed Inline video distribution amplifier is used for video signals such as Composite video, S-Video, RGBS or RGBHV.
VGA Splitters have been made available in various port sizes such as 2, 4, 8, 16 and 18 port. Theses are primarily used for classrooms, digital signage and trade shows so as to provide high quality video signals displayed on multiple monitors. These devices come in very handy and are very useful for displaying a video signal from a source that has VGA output on to 16 monitors, without affecting the video clarity.
These days we simply can’t live without our computers. I don’t care what your occupation may be, you probably have a computer of some sort sitting in your home or office, or both. The more modern technology now being, the laptop notebook computer. If you have not conformed to the laptop notebook computer, you will soon enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s all that is available soon. How much handier can you get than carrying your computer system around with you. Anywhere you choose to do some work is now available.
It wasn’t long ago that we all had the desktops. Now, don’t get me wrong, the massive desktop computers were great. They got the job done. However, now it’s hard to praise the old dinosaurs when we have the option of laptop notebook computers. These small wonders get all of the same tasks done, but without the hassle of being restricted to one specific area, or room in the house. We have achieved Internet freedom. I love the ability of being wireless and venturing to any part of my home with my laptop notebook computer in hand. After all, what’s the point of having wireless access when your computer is stuck on a desktop. It kind of defeats the purpose.
